Rangers has parted ways with midfielder John Lundstram as he pursues new opportunities.
Today, the 30-year-old wrote a long farewell letter on his Instagram, bidding the Ibrox club farewell with sadness.
However, a highlights clip was also included with his lengthy commentary.
Fans of the Rangers have taken issue with one particular scene in the video.
This was made worse by a terrible first-half performance in last month’s derby at Celtic Park versus Celtic.
Shortly after scoring an own goal, Lundstram was sent out for a reckless challenge on Alistair Johnston.
And some Rangers supporters are upset about that tackle on social media, claiming that it was his mistakes that cost them the Scottish Premiership.
The player naturally added that challenge video to his reel.
And one astute fan brought this to our attention. They posted on X: “Goodbye/Highlight video on his Instagram actually has the red card tackle (along with his general form) that helped cost us a title.”
Another cruel comment read, “Never been happier to see back of a player, be a great player for Cardiff or West Brom but should never ever be the heartbeat of a team that has pressure to win every week.” Several other Rangers supporters piled in.
With their tongue firmly in their cheek, a few Celtic supporters said, “No sign of his cracking finish for the second?” as well as “Best Celtic signing ever.”
