Due to “unfinished business,” Jose Mourinho is predicted to pick Chelsea over Manchester United

Despite rumors of his “unfinished business” at Old Trafford, Jose Mourinho’s return to Chelsea is “more believable” than a second tenure at Manchester United.

This season, Mauricio Pochettino and Erik ten Hag have been under increasing criticism and strain, and both Chelsea and Manchester United have been linked with new managers.

Both are probably going to play out the season until their jobs are reviewed, but Mourinho has unavoidably been linked to a return to both teams. According to a report from last month, the Portuguese manager wants to return to United because he feels like he has “unfinished business” with the Red Devils.

Though Mourinho was the manager at Stamford Bridge during his first stint there, former Chelsea full-back Glen Johnson thinks a return is more plausible.

Johnson said to Betfred, “He’s obviously a fantastic manager, but whether or not there’s truth to these rumors, there is undoubtedly some unresolved business between him and Manchester United because he typically doesn’t go to these kinds of clubs and doesn’t succeed.”

“The team is still not good enough, and they aren’t playing well on a regular basis, so if he returned, it would be no different from the club he left in the first place. Even so, Manchester United is still a massive football team, and while their squad appears excellent on paper, there’s a problem.

“It seems more plausible for Jose to return to Chelsea than to Manchester United.” He would undoubtedly draw the players’ attention, and while I believe it may boost the club and its supporters, it wouldn’t solve every problem that now affects them.
