Previously, signability was a major consideration for clubs in the baseball draft; however, J.J. Cooper of Baseball America said 19 News that the Guardians are not worried about it this year.

For the first time ever, Cleveland holds the first pick in the July 14 draft.

The MLB recommends that the top pick be placed at $10.5 million, while the Guardians president Chris Antonetti stated on Wednesday that the team will have roughly $18 million for the entire draft class.

According to Cooper, the top three prospects are all college infielders: Travis Bazzana of Oregon State, J.J. Wetherholt of West Virginia, and Charlie Condon of Georgia.
