CONFIRMED: Hamza Igamane is the Rangers’ sixth summer acquisition, as they officially reveal tonight.

Hamza Igamane is finally scheduled to sign a new deal with Rangers in Glasgow.

Moroccan Grinta reports that Hamza Igamane will finally sign his Rangers contract on Thursday when he takes a plane to Glasgow.

The African publication, which has been discussed on Rangers Review, stated on July 4 that the Morocco international is anticipated to play in the Gers’ preseason match on July 20 against Manchester United.
The agreement has reportedly been in the works for some time and is estimated to be worth £2 million (Football Scotland, 28 June).

Why Hamza Igamane was coveted by Philippe Clement to join the Rangers

Rangers supporters will be relieved to learn that their pursuit of a transfer of Igamane is finally about to conclude after what seems like an eternity.

Since almost the beginning of the transfer window [KoraMaroc, June 16], the Glasgow-based team has been connected to the striker as they aim to add some offensive reinforcements to their lineup.
Despite having players like Cyriel Dessers and Sam Lammers in their ranks, the Gers’ play in the 2023–24 season was far too patchy to attempt to overcome Celtic, who were moved out on loan for the second half of the season.
Additionally, the Gers have been attempting to strengthen their roster since Dessers submitted a transfer request [Soccernet, June 25].

Like the other newcomers, Igamane is on the younger side, but he has the potential to lead the line as the team’s first number nine acquisition.
The striker scored 16 goals in the Botola Pro 1 League between the 2022–2023 and 2023–2024 seasons, and Clement will be hoping that he can establish himself in Scottish football right away.
Igamane won’t always start every week, but he will undoubtedly be an important component in Clement’s puzzle this year.
