“Levani Botia Eyes Return, Remains Available for Flying Fijians Despite Ongoing Injury Recovery”
Retiring from rugby is not currently on the mind of former Fiji Water Flying Fijians player Levani Botia, who remains available if the Flying Fijians need him.
Botia is in the process of recovering from an injury that has sidelined him for the past 22 weeks, and there is still uncertainty about when he will return to play for his La Rochelle club.
He has played a total of 200 Top 14 matches for La Rochelle.
At 35, Botia continues to work hard to regain his fitness and remain ready if Fiji calls on him.
He expects to return in a few weeks and notes that this has been one of his longest injury recoveries.
Botia admits he misses rugby and finds the downtime boring as he is limited in what he can do during his recovery.
He has expressed interest in joining the Flying Fijians for the upcoming November tour, though his injury clearance date is still pending.
