“Chris Sutton Predicts David Moyes as ‘Inevitable’ Replacement for Sean Dyche at Everton Amid Poor Start”

Chris Sutton believes that David Moyes is the “inevitable” successor to Sean Dyche at Everton if Dyche is sacked after a fourth consecutive loss to start the season.

Everton blew a 2-0 lead for the second week in a row against Aston Villa on Saturday evening, leaving Dyche’s team at the bottom of the table with 13 goals conceded in just four Premier League games.

Reports before the match indicated that the Goodison Park board fully supported Dyche, regardless of the result, but there are still links to former manager David Moyes, who has been described as “incredible.” Speaking on BBC Radio 5Live, Sutton acknowledged that it is “inevitable” Moyes’ name will continue to come up in discussions as the team underperforms.

Fans Have Turned Against Dyche

The 3-2 loss to Villa came after a 3-2 defeat to Bournemouth, a 4-0 loss to Tottenham, and a 3-0 defeat to Brighton on the opening day, leaving fans concerned about team selection, the form of key players, and recurring defensive problems.

Despite this, after a fan called into the show, Sutton defended Dyche, saying it was “too early” to fire the former Burnley manager, although he admitted some fans have “turned against” him."Breaking News: Everton Fans Turned Against Sean Dyche Declaring His Immediate Replacement...Read more"

“I think Dyche is humble, and he believes in himself,” Sutton said. “Everton have been in a mess for years. You can’t ignore that. But in the last couple of games, if you’re an Everton fan, you wonder if last season they conceded the fourth fewest goals in the Premier League, something like that? Dyche has always prided himself on a strong defensive record, but now they’re leaking goals for fun.”

Sutton continued, “We talked about the quality of the goals today [against Aston Villa], but the constant feedback from Everton fans is that many have turned against Dyche. We can’t ignore that, and David Moyes’ name will keep coming up. But I still think it’s too early, Rob.”
