“Brendan Rodgers: Celtic Poised to Challenge in Champions League After Perfect Domestic Run”

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers believes his team is “ready to take on” the Champions League following their flawless start to the season.

Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Hearts marked their sixth consecutive win, with 17 goals scored and five clean sheets in domestic play.

The Scottish champions will kick off their European campaign at home against Slovan Bratislava on Wednesday.

Celtic seem to be in a more cohesive and dynamic form compared to last year, and Rodgers is eager for his squad to build on this progress in Europe.

“I’m really looking forward to it,” said Rodgers after Saturday’s match.

“I think we have a good balance in the squad. There are areas I’d like to improve in the future, but we’ve put in a tremendous amount of work this summer.

“The mentality is strong. We’re prepared to tackle the competition. We know the high standard we’re up against, but that’s okay. We’ll go out and give it everything we’ve got.”
