“Tom Brady Addresses Scott Hanson’s Apology Following Comments on His Broadcast Debut”
Tom Brady responded to Scott Hanson on Monday night after the NFL RedZone host apologized for remarks made during Brady’s first appearance as a broadcaster. Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion, made his much-anticipated debut in the Fox booth during the Cleveland Browns vs. Dallas Cowboys game, receiving mixed feedback on his performance.
Hanson’s light-hearted comment about Brady’s lack of excitement during a 71-yard field goal attempt by Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey gained traction. Hanson had remarked, “Oh come on! Brady’s gotta get more excited than that in the booth.” He later clarified that the comment was not meant to be harsh, expressing his genuine support for Brady’s new role.
“It was unfair and inconsiderate of me. Yes, it was meant to be playful, but I didn’t consider how it might be interpreted,” Hanson wrote on X, apologizing to Brady and assuring him of his support.
Brady quickly responded to Hanson, joking that he would definitely get excited if he ever saw a 70-yard field goal. “This rookie appreciates you, Scott Hanson! No need to apologize, life’s too short not to have fun!” Brady said. “We’re officially on 70-yard watch, and I’ll spike my headset when it happens.”
Brady is set to be in Dallas for Week 2 when the Cowboys face the New OrleansSaints.
