Steelers to Honor Terry Bradshaw with \$2.5 Million Statue Outside Acrisure Stadium.

In a heartfelt tribute to one of the most iconic figures in franchise history, the Pittsburgh Steelers have announced a \$2.5 million project to construct a statue honoring legendary quarterback Terry Bradshaw.
The life-sized bronze figure will be installed outside Acrisure Stadium in time for the 2026 season kickoff, cementing Bradshaw’s legacy as a cornerstone of the team’s storied past.
The decision, unanimously approved by the Steelers’ ownership group earlier this week, marks a significant gesture of gratitude toward the Hall of Famer whose leadership helped propel the team to four Super Bowl victories during the 1970s.
Bradshaw, known for his cannon arm, commanding presence, and charismatic personality, is widely regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history.
“It’s long overdue,” said team president Art Rooney II at a press conference Friday morning. “Terry didn’t just win games—he transformed the Steelers into a dynasty. This statue will serve as a permanent reminder of the grit, courage, and championship spirit that defines both Terry and the city of Pittsburgh.”
The statue will depict Bradshaw in his classic No. 12 jersey, mid-throw in a dynamic pose that captures the energy of his playing days. The Steelers have partnered with acclaimed sports sculptor Julie Rotblatt-Amrany, known for her work outside venues like the United Center in Chicago and Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
Construction is set to begin in September, with the statue to be placed along Art Rooney Avenue near the stadium’s main entrance—adjacent to the monuments of other Steelers legends like Franco Harris and “Mean” Joe Greene.
Bradshaw, 76, responded to the announcement with his signature mix of humility and humor.
“I thought they were pulling my leg,” he joked during a phone interview. “When they told me it was real, I was speechless. I never played this game for statues or honors. I played it because I loved the sport and loved this city. But to be remembered like this? It means the world to me.”
The announcement has sparked excitement throughout Steelers Nation, with fans and former teammates alike expressing overwhelming support for the tribute.
