“Roma Eye Bold Move for Memphis Depay as Dutch Star Offers Himself to the Club”
Serie A giants Roma have been given the opportunity to sign Memphis Depay, the former player of Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, and Manchester United. The Dutch forward, who featured in EURO 2024 for the Netherlands, is currently without a club.
According to Daniele Longo, Roma have shown interest in Depay for the past three seasons, though they never made a formal offer. Now, there is a sense within the club that this could be the right time to move forward, especially since Depay himself is keen on the transfer.
Currently, Depay is training diligently in Monaco to stay in shape while awaiting his next move. However, Roma have yet to make an official bid for him, and if they do, he would be considered as a central forward option rather than a wide player for Daniele de Rossi’s team.
