Max, the three-year-old son of Los Angeles Dodgers star Freddie Freeman, is still improving despite being diagnosed with a rare nerve illness.

Max Update: This week’s follow-up visits with our physician and neurologists have gone really well. GBS is sometimes pronounced as “Getting Better Slowly.”

In the past week and a half, there has been a lot of advancement. Once again, Max sleeps through the majority of the night. He can sit by himself and has even taken to army crawling in the past few days.

Physical therapy, doctor’s visits, and a lot of pool time comprise our lives. Max’s improvement has us thrilled with how well he is doing.

“For everything that the Dodgers organization and the fans have done for us, we will always be grateful.” We have also been overwhelmed by the cards, presents, letters, flowers, candies, and prayers that others have sent our way. I’m grateful to everyone.
