NASCAR Legends to Compete in IROC at 2025 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion.
The 2025 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, scheduled for August 13–16 at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, will feature a star-studded lineup of NASCAR legends competing in the International Race of Champions (IROC) race group.
Jeff Gordon, Mark Martin, Bill Elliott, Bobby Labonte, and Ken Schrader are set to return to the track alongside fellow IROC veterans Danny Sullivan and Scott Pruett.
This event marks a historic reunion, as many of these drivers will pilot the same IROC cars they once raced, providing fans with a rare opportunity to witness these iconic machines in action once again. Ray Evernham, co-owner of IROC and former crew chief for Jeff Gordon, expressed his excitement about bringing together the original drivers and their cars at the renowned Laguna Seca road course.
Jeff Gordon, a four-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, boasts 93 wins and 477 top-ten finishes in his illustrious career. Mark Martin, the winningest driver in IROC history with five series championships, brings his extensive experience to the event. Bill Elliott, the 1988 Winston Cup Series champion, earned 44 career NASCAR wins and was a 16-time winner of NASCAR’s Most Popular Driver award.
Bobby Labonte, the 2000 Winston Cup Champion and 2001 IROC Series Champion, will defend his IROC title. Ken Schrader, known for his versatility, has competed in multiple racing series and finished as high as fourth in the 1994 NASCAR Cup Series championship.
The IROC race group is one of 14 featured at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, dedicated to celebrating authentic and historic race cars from the past. Fans can look forward to a “walk-through history” experience in the IROC race compound, with opportunities to meet drivers, view the cars up close, and participate in autograph sessions and panel discussions.
