Carnival Cruise Director Josh Weinstein Arrested for Allegedly Smuggling Weapon During Voyage

Carnival Cruise Line is facing renewed scrutiny after one of its senior staff members, Cruise Director Josh Weinstein, was arrested for allegedly smuggling a weapon aboard a ship while it was underway.

According to law enforcement sources, Weinstein was taken into custody shortly after the ship docked at its final port. The arrest followed a coordinated investigation involving federal maritime authorities and port security officials, who had received a tip regarding potential contraband aboard the vessel.

Authorities claim that Weinstein knowingly brought an unauthorized firearm onto the cruise ship and concealed it during the voyage. The type of weapon and intended purpose have not yet been publicly disclosed, but investigators have indicated that the matter is being treated as a serious breach of maritime law and safety regulations.

“We take any allegation of illegal activity aboard our ships very seriously,” said a spokesperson for Carnival Cruise Line in a brief statement. “We are cooperating fully with the authorities in their investigation and will take appropriate action pending the outcome.”

Josh Weinstein, a well-known figure among Carnival passengers and staff, has worked with the company for several years and was regarded as one of the line’s most charismatic cruise directors. His sudden arrest has left many guests and colleagues shocked.

As of this writing, Weinstein is being held without bail pending a formal hearing. If convicted, he could face federal charges related to weapons smuggling and endangering the safety of a commercial vessel.
