Dozens of Carnival Cruise Line Passengers Have Been banned from sailing Again Over a Violent Brawl at a Dock in Texas.

A violent altercation at a Texas cruise terminal has led Carnival Cruise Line to permanently ban 24 passengers from future voyages. The incident occurred on April 26, 2025, as the Carnival Jubilee returned to Galveston after a seven-day Western Caribbean cruise. Footage from the terminal shows a chaotic scene where passengers knocked over barriers and engaged in physical confrontations in the baggage claim area.

Despite efforts by security personnel to intervene, the altercation escalated until U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers took control and handed the matter over to local law enforcement.

Carnival Cruise Line swiftly responded by placing the involved individuals on its “Do Not Sail” list, effectively banning them from all future cruises. The company emphasized its zero-tolerance policy for disruptive behavior, underscoring its commitment to ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests.

This action reflects Carnival’s broader efforts to address unruly conduct among passengers, which has been a growing concern in the cruise industry.

The altercation in Galveston is part of a troubling pattern of violent incidents aboard Carnival ships. In June 2022, a similar brawl occurred on the Carnival Magic, leading to multiple passengers being banned.

These incidents have prompted Carnival to implement stricter security measures, including random luggage screenings with narcotics-sniffing dogs and increased onboard security personnel.

The company has also updated its Code of Conduct to clearly define unacceptable behaviors, such as physical altercations, verbal abuse, and other actions that compromise the safety and enjoyment of fellow passengers and crew members.

Guests found violating these standards face immediate disembarkation at their own expense and potential legal consequences.

While the specific cause of the Galveston brawl remains unclear, the incident has sparked widespread discussion about the need for enhanced passenger behavior protocols in the cruise industry.

As Carnival continues to enforce its policies, other cruise lines are likely to evaluate and strengthen their own measures to prevent similar occurrences.
