“SHOCKING” 4 Dolphins received All-Pro votes (but none earned a spot)

The Associated Press announced its NFL All-Pro teams on Friday, and as expected, no Miami Dolphins players earned a spot on the prestigious roster.

This follows a season in which no Dolphins were named to the Pro Bowl, making their absence from the All-Pro teams unsurprising. However, several Miami players did receive votes, with linebacker Jordyn Brooks even garnering a first-place vote at his position.

Gimme Him: Jordyn Brooks would boost Patriots defense

Brooks, who joined the Dolphins during the 2024 offseason on a three-year, $26.5 million deal, made a significant impact in his first season with the team. The 26-year-old linebacker recorded 143 tackles, six passes defended, three sacks, two fumble recoveries, and 11 tackles for loss. His performance earned him 10 votes in the All-Pro selection process, including a first-place vote, which is worth three points. Despite this recognition, Brooks fell short of making the All-Pro second team, which included Frankie Luvu of the Commanders, Bobby Wagner, and Zaire Franklin of the Colts. Brooks would have needed an additional 30 votes to surpass Franklin’s 39 points for the final linebacker spot.

While Brooks led the way for Miami in All-Pro voting, three other Dolphins also received recognition. Defensive lineman Zach Sieler earned four votes, cornerback Jalen Ramsey garnered two votes, and fullback Alec Ingold received one vote. These acknowledgments highlight the individual contributions of several key players on a Dolphins team that showed flashes of promise throughout the season.

The first-team All-Pro linebackers were Zack Baun of the Eagles, Fred Warner of the 49ers, and Roquan Smith of the Ravens. All three players were instrumental in their respective teams’ successes, solidifying their status as some of the best at the position. Meanwhile, the second team featured Frankie Luvu, Bobby Wagner, and Zaire Franklin, who also had standout seasons.

Despite falling short of All-Pro honors, the Dolphins’ representation in the voting process signals that the team has players who are gaining recognition for their efforts. Brooks’ strong season, in particular, demonstrates the value he has brought to Miami’s defense and sets the stage for continued success in the years to come. As the Dolphins look to build on their current roster and push for playoff contention, performances like those from Brooks, Sieler, Ramsey, and Ingold will be critical in shaping the team’s future.

While no Dolphins earned All-Pro nods this year, the votes they received highlight the potential within the roster and offer hope for greater accolades in the seasons ahead.
