BREAKING> “I Hate To See It,” said the former star of the Warriors on Klay Thompson joining the Mavericks.

This offseason, the Dallas Mavericks made a significant acquisition by signing former guard Klay Thompson to a three-year, $50 million contract. The Mavs are hoping he can provide them the shooting range and spacing they need to win an NBA Championship. It appears fantastic on paper to bring in the four-time champion to play alongside Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic after they were close to losing in five games to the Boston Celtics this season.
Not everyone is happy about the deal, particularly the Warriors players. Former All-Star Baron Davis talked about Thompson’s signing in Dallas on the “Draymond Green Podcast” recently. Davis was a member of the Warriors’ infamous “We Believe” squad that shocked the Mavs in 2007.

Davis remarked, “I detest to see it.” Since you witness people grow from young men to men to superstars to legends, it’s comparable to how we feel about Kobe [Bryant] here in Los Angeles. That’s why. Being a fan of Klay, I thus wish him the best.

“I support the athlete’s wishes, as I am primarily a fan of the player. I really hope they make the documentary, give him a proper send-off, and simply celebrate him the way he deserves to be honored because I am a huge fan of the Warriors and what he means to them. But my God, the dynasty has ended. This is not how a storybook finale should come to pass.

Despite playing just three and a half seasons in the Bay Area, Baron Davis has a lot of affection for the Warriors. He had a good career, making two All-Star games and an All-NBA team in 2004. Even though Dallas supporters would prefer to forget it, his tenure with the “We Believe” club is among the more unforgettable NBA moments of the 2000s.

In his 13 years with the Warriors, Thompson appeared in five All-Star games, and he was hoping to end his career with the team he has always played for, with Draymond Green and Stephen Curry. Unfortunately for them, he felt unimportant by the front management of the Warriors and opted to try and earn a ring in Dallas.
