BREAKING NEWS: Chicago Bears Have Named a Potential Replacement For Coach Matt Eberflus.

While Chicago Bears fans continue to hope for Ben Johnson to become their next head coach, rookie quarterback Caleb Williams and his top receiver are struggling with on-field chemistry. Amid calls for Matt Eberflus’ firing, new details about his contract have emerged.

It turns out Eberflus has a five-year deal, contrary to an earlier report by Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, according to windycitygridiron.com.

In his Wednesday morning mailbag, Biggs wrote: “Though I initially believed Eberflus signed a four-year contract when hired, I now understand it’s actually a five-year deal through the 2026 season. Given that he was promoting a rebuild and patience, it’s logical that Eberflus would negotiate for a longer contract. From what I’ve gathered, I believe he secured that. You may remember I asked Eberflus about his contract’s length when he was hired, but he declined to comment.”
