TERMS AGREED: Wolves Eye Double Swoop for Chelsea Duo this Summer.

Wolves Eye Double Swoop for Chelsea Duo David Datro Fofana and Axel Disasi

Wolverhampton Wanderers are making significant moves in the summer transfer market, with reports indicating the Midlands club have expressed strong interest in signing Chelsea pair David Datro Fofana and Axel Disasi. The Premier League side is actively looking to bolster its squad ahead of the upcoming campaign, and a double raid on Stamford Bridge appears to be on the cards.

According to sources close to the negotiations, terms have already been agreed in principle as Wolves step up their pursuit of the two Chelsea players. Talks are said to be progressing positively, with manager Gary O’Neil eager to reinforce both his attack and defence before the window closes.

David Datro Fofana, the 21-year-old Ivorian striker, is seen as a potential solution to Wolves’ long-standing issues in front of goal. Since joining Chelsea from Molde in January 2023, Fofana has struggled to break into the first team, spending time on loan at Union Berlin and Burnley. Despite limited opportunities, his raw talent and physicality have caught the eye of several clubs. Wolves believe the youngster has the potential to flourish with regular minutes in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, French centre-back Axel Disasi is also being monitored closely. Signed from AS Monaco last summer, Disasi featured regularly for Chelsea during the 2023/24 season but now finds his future at Stamford Bridge uncertain. With Chelsea continuing to revamp their squad under the direction of manager Enzo Maresca, Disasi could be one of the players allowed to leave if the right offer arrives.

Wolves see the 26-year-old defender as an ideal addition to their backline, especially with question marks over the future of Max Kilman and growing concerns about depth in central defence. Disasi’s aerial prowess, physical strength, and ability to play out from the back fit the profile of defender O’Neil is looking to integrate into his system.

Should the deal materialize, it would mark a significant statement of intent from Wolves, who are keen to improve on last season’s mid-table finish. The club’s recruitment drive is focused on bringing in hungry, high-potential players with Premier League experience, and both Fofana and Disasi fit that mould.

With negotiations ongoing, Wolves fans will be keeping a close eye on developments as the club aims to secure what could be two key additions ahead of the 2025/26 season.
