Wolves Defender Nasser Djiga in Talks Over Season-Long Loan to Rangers

Wolverhampton Wanderers centre-back Nasser Djiga is reportedly in advanced talks over a loan move to Scottish giants Rangers, as the 22-year-old looks set to gain valuable experience in British football.

The Express & Star reports that Rangers are keen to bring the Burkina Faso international to Ibrox on a straight season-long loan deal. While discussions are still ongoing, it is understood that the proposed move would not include a permanent purchase option, with Wolves eager to retain control over Djiga’s long-term future.

Djiga joined Wolves in February 2024 from Serbian club Red Star Belgrade but has yet to feature in a competitive match for the Premier League side.

Despite being highly rated by the Molineux coaching staff, the club believes that a loan spell in the UK will offer the young defender the ideal platform to develop further and adapt to the physical and fast-paced nature of British football.
