In a heartfelt tribute to one of the most iconic figures in franchise history, the Pittsburgh Steelers have announced a \$2.5 million project to construct a statue honoring legendary quarterback Terry Bradshaw.

The life-sized bronze figure will be installed outside Acrisure Stadium in time for the 2026 season kickoff, cementing Bradshaw’s legacy as a cornerstone of the team’s storied past.

The decision, unanimously approved by the Steelers’ ownership group earlier this week, marks a significant gesture of gratitude toward the Hall of Famer whose leadership helped propel the team to four Super Bowl victories during the 1970s.

Bradshaw, known for his cannon arm, commanding presence, and charismatic personality, is widely regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history.

“It’s long overdue,” said team president Art Rooney II at a press conference Friday morning. “Terry didn’t just win games—he transformed the Steelers into a dynasty. “I thought they were pulling my leg,” he joked during a phone interview. “When they told me it was real, I was speechless. I never played this game for statues or honors. I played it because I loved the sport and loved this city. But to be remembered like this? It means the world to me.”
