BREAKING NEWS: BYU Football Pull-Off Another Major Blockbuster Mobe; Sign Veteran WR to a Multi-million Dollar Contract Deal

Wide Receiver Reggie Frischknecht Commits to BYU Football

Brigham Young University (BYU) football has bolstered its receiving corps with the addition of wide receiver Reggie Frischknecht, who announced his commitment to the Cougars on April 29, 2025. Frischknecht, a 6-foot-4, 200-pound athlete, brings a wealth of experience and potential to BYU’s offense.

Early Career and College Beginnings

Frischknecht’s football journey began at Manti High School, where he was a standout player. In his senior year, he recorded 94 receptions for 1,360 yards and 17 touchdowns, earning First Team All-State honors and the 3A Player of the Year award .

After high school, he signed with Snow College in February 2024. During his freshman season at Snow College, Frischknecht had an impressive performance, recording 38 receptions for 740 yards and 14 touchdowns over 11 games. His average of 67.3 receiving yards per game and 19.5 yards per catch highlighted his big-play ability and consistency.

Transfer to Weber State and Subsequent Commitment to BYU

In January 2025, Frischknecht transferred to Weber State, where he participated in spring practices. However, seeking new opportunities, he entered the transfer portal and subsequently committed to BYU. He announced his decision on social media, expressing gratitude to BYU coaches Fesi Sitake and Kalani Sitake for the opportunity and enthusiasm about joining the team.

Impact on BYU’s Receiving Corps

Frischknecht’s addition comes at a crucial time for BYU’s wide receiver unit. With the departure of key players like Keelan Marion and Darius Lassiter, the Cougars are looking for new contributors. Returning players such as Chase Roberts, Jojo Phillips, and Parker Kingston are expected to lead, but Frischknecht’s size, hands, and playmaking ability position him as a potential impact player in the 2025 season .

Looking Ahead

Frischknecht has four years to play three seasons, including a redshirt year, providing BYU with a valuable asset for the future. His blend of size, speed, and hands makes him a promising addition to the Cougars’ offense. BYU fans can look forward to seeing how Frischknecht develops and contributes to the team’s success in the upcoming season.
