Dallas Cowboys Sign Veteran Pro Bowler Von Miller to Pair with Micah Parsons
Dallas, TX – March 22, 2025– In a bold move aimed at bolstering their already formidable defense, the Dallas Cowboys have signed veteran linebacker Von Miller to a two-year contract.
The deal marks a significant step in the Cowboys’ efforts to strengthen their pass rush as they look to build on their success from the previous seasons.
Miller, a Super Bowl MVP and one of the most decorated pass rushers in NFL history, is set to join forces with rising star Micah Parsons, forming one of the most dynamic linebacker duos in the league.
With Parsons already regarded as one of the NFL’s top defenders, the addition of Miller is expected to provide an instant boost to the Cowboys’ defense, offering both leadership and experience to a unit that has been one of the team’s strengths in recent years.
“This is a special opportunity for me,” Miller said in a statement following the announcement. “Micah is an incredible player, and I’ve admired his game for a long time.
I’m excited to join this defense and help bring a championship to Dallas. There’s a lot of talent on this team, and I believe we can do something special.”
Miller, who spent the first 10 seasons of his career with the Denver Broncos and most recently played with the Buffalo Bills, is known for his exceptional ability to disrupt quarterbacks and his ability to perform in clutch moments.
With eight Pro Bowl selections and a Super Bowl ring, his presence on the field will add a new dimension to the Cowboys’ pass-rushing attack.
For Parsons, the addition of Miller is a dream come true. The 2021 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year and 2023 First-Team All-Pro has quickly emerged as one of the league’s most dominant defensive players.
Having someone of Miller’s caliber in the locker room will provide Parsons with invaluable mentorship, while also allowing the two players to create chaos on opposing quarterbacks together.
Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones expressed his excitement about the move, emphasizing the importance of leadership in building a championship-caliber defense. “Von is a true game-changer,” Jones said.
“His experience, work ethic, and ability to make plays in critical moments will be invaluable to us. With Von and Micah leading the way, we feel confident about the direction our defense is heading.”
The signing of Miller is a statement of intent from the Cowboys as they look to strengthen their position as Super Bowl contenders in the upcoming 2025 season.
With a dynamic defensive line and an offense led by quarterback Dak Prescott, the Cowboys’ future looks even brighter as they pair two of the league’s best linebackers to create havoc on opposing offenses.
