In a surprising development, New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel announced today that defensive tackle Jeremiah Pharms Jr. and offensive lineman Demontrey Jacobs have been re-signed to new contracts for the 2025 season.
Jeremiah Pharms Jr. Re-Signed
Jeremiah Pharms Jr., 28, has agreed to a two-year contract extension with the Patriots. The deal includes a $100,000 signing bonus and $250,000 in guaranteed money. Pharms’ unconventional journey to the NFL saw him play for multiple colleges before stints in arena football and the USFL. He joined the Patriots in 2022, spending his first season on the practice squad and earning a spot on the active roster over the past two years. In 2024, Pharms appeared in 16 games, recording 33 tackles and two sacks in five starts.
Demontrey Jacobs Re-Signed
Offensive lineman Demontrey Jacobs has also been retained by the Patriots, signing a one-year tender as an exclusive rights free agent. Jacobs, who joined the team in 2024, has provided depth along the offensive line and is expected to compete for a more significant role in the upcoming season.
