Tottenham Considering Player-Plus-Cash Deal to Secure Eberechi Eze Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly exploring the possibility of a player-plus-cash deal in their pursuit of Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze. The 25-year-old attacking midfielder has emerged as a top target for Spurs this summer as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2025/26 season. Eze has enjoyed an impressive campaign with Crystal Palace, showcasing his creativity, dribbling ability, and eye for goal. His performances have not only caught the attention of Tottenham but also several other Premier League clubs. However, Spurs appear to be pushing ahead with a concrete plan to bring him to north London. With a reported release clause in the region of £60–70 million, Tottenham are believed to be exploring alternative ways to structure the deal to make it more financially viable. One such option is offering a player in exchange, along with cash, to reduce the upfront cost. This approach could benefit both clubs: Tottenham would avoid a full cash outlay, while Palace could receive a quality replacement as part of the deal. Among the potential makeweights in the deal could be Giovani Lo Celso, who has struggled to secure a regular place in Ange Postecoglou’s starting lineup. The Argentine playmaker may appeal to Crystal Palace, who are in need of creative reinforcements, especially if Eze departs. Other fringe players such as Bryan Gil or Ryan Sessegnon could also be considered depending on Palace’s needs and Spurs’ willingness to let them go. Eze’s versatility is one of his standout qualities. Capable of playing as a No. 10, a wide attacking midfielder, or even deeper in a creative central role, he fits the profile of player Postecoglou values—technically gifted, intelligent in possession, and capable of breaking down defences. His arrival would add depth and dynamism to Spurs’ attack, especially as they aim to return to Champions League football. While no formal offer has been submitted yet, discussions are expected to progress in the coming weeks. Spurs fans will be eager to see how the club approaches the summer transfer window, especially after showing flashes of promise in Postecoglou’s first season in charge. If Tottenham can negotiate a favorable deal involving cash and a player, it could represent smart business and help secure one of the Premier League’s most exciting midfield talents.

Brendan Gallagher Pens Heartfelt Farewell to His Mother Della After Her Battle with Brain Cancer

Montreal Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher has shared a deeply emotional farewell message following the passing of his mother, Della, who lost her battle with stage 4 brain cancer earlier this month. In a moving tribute, Gallagher opened up about the profound impact his mother had on his life, her strength, and the lasting memories she left behind.

Brendan Gallagher pens tear-jerking farewell message after his mother Della loses battle against brain cancer

Della Gallagher, who was diagnosed with brain cancer in August 2021, fought bravely against the disease for nearly two years. Despite doctors giving her only months to live, she remained resilient and determined, inspiring not only her family but also those who knew her. Brendan, who had been by her side throughout her battle, expressed in a message to his fans and supporters how much he admired her courage.

“She was so strong, so courageous, and really just the best mom,” Gallagher wrote. “Everything I am is from her. The way she fought, the way she loved, and everything she taught me is something I’ll carry with me forever.” Gallagher described the bond he shared with his mother as an irreplaceable one, saying it was a relationship unlike any other, one that he will cherish for the rest of his life.

Della’s death came at a challenging time for the Gallagher family, as she passed away while the Canadiens were on a road trip in Calgary. Despite the heartbreaking loss, Brendan took solace in the support of his team, who rallied around him during this tough time. The Canadiens arranged for a special visit to his family’s home during a trip to Vancouver, offering Brendan a chance to spend precious moments with his loved ones in the wake of his mother’s death.

Through his grief, Gallagher has found comfort in the birth of his daughter, Everly Mona Della Gallagher, born shortly after Della’s passing. The newborn, named in honor of her grandmother, is a symbol of hope and a way to continue Della’s legacy within the family. “Our daughter will grow up knowing who her grandma was, what she stood for, and the love she gave us all,” he said. “She’ll be proud to carry that name.”

Gallagher’s emotional farewell highlights the deep love he had for his mother and the strength she instilled in him. While the loss is devastating, Brendan is determined to honor Della’s memory and live by the lessons she taught him, keeping her spirit alive in everything he does, both on and off the ice.
