CONFIRMED: New Orleans Saints Announce Mike McCarthy as Head Coach
New Orleans, LA – In a press conference held earlier today, New Orleans Saints Owner Gayle Benson and General Manager Mickey Loomis announced the hiring of Mike McCarthy as the team’s new head coach. McCarthy, who previously led the Green Bay Packers to a Super Bowl victory, replaces Dennis Allen, who was fired earlier this season.

McCarthy brings a wealth of experience to the Saints, having compiled a 135-80-2 regular season record and a 10-8 postseason record during his 13 seasons as an NFL head coach. He led the Packers to a Super Bowl XLV victory in 2010 and earned NFL Coach of the Year honors in 2008 and 2014.
