A TUNNING POINT:After Months On Sideline, Saints Activate The Second-Year Running Back (RB) Kendre Miller Ahead of Critical Matchup with Buccaneers.

“Kendre Miller Set to Return from IR as Saints Face Buccaneers in Week 6”

After months on the sidelines, Kendre Miller is set to make his return for the Saints on Sunday. According to NFL Insider Jordan Schultz, New Orleans is activating the second-year running back from injured reserve, and he should be available to face the Buccaneers in Week 6. However, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football expects Miller to have a limited role, primarily serving as depth. Saints News Network confirmed his activation will officially happen on Saturday.

Miller, a third-round pick from last season, suffered a hamstring injury on the first day of training camp in California and hadn’t practiced since. He was placed on injured reserve at the start of the season and reportedly fell out of favor with head coach Dennis Allen. Even after his return window opened last week, he still had to prove his fitness and grasp of the playbook to earn playing time.

His return is timely for the Saints, who are dealing with injuries to key players like Taysom Hill (rib fractures) and a struggling offensive line. With only 46 rushing yards against the Chiefs, Miller could provide a fresh option alongside Alvin Kamara, who has been heavily relied upon. If Miller isn’t fully ready Sunday, he should be good to go by the time they face the Broncos. New Orleans will also start rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler as they aim to snap a three-game losing streak at the Superdome.
