In the Dallas Cowboys’ Week 5 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, one official almost learned this the hard way following Dak Prescott’s game-winning touchdown. Prescott led a 15-play, 70-yard drive, ending with a clutch touchdown pass on 4th-and-four with just 20 seconds left. Jalen Tolbert caught the pass, which came after Prescott averted disaster by recovering Rico Dowdle’s fumble on 2nd-and-goal with 35 seconds remaining.
Understandably, Prescott was fired up after the touchdown and celebrated with a punch in the air—almost accidentally hitting an official in the process.
