The University of Pennsylvania’s Lois S. Leitner Head Coach of Women’s Lacrosse, Karin Corbett, has announced the captains for the 2025 season.
Seniors Keeley Block, Anna Brandt, Natasha Gorriaran, Grace Lillis, and Gracie Smith will lead the Quakers into the new campaign.
Coach Corbett praised the leadership of the captains, stating, “Anna, Keeley, Gracie, Natasha, and Grace have done a great job integrating the 10 new freshmen into the team culture. They set the standard each day for what it means to be part of this program.
Their strengths, combined, have made for a productive fall, and we’re excited to work with them as they lead us into the 2025 season.”
– Keeley Block started all 20 games last season, finishing third in assists (15), and fourth in both goals (30) and points (45). She had 13 multi-point and nine multi-goal games. Block was named honorable mention All-Ivy as a freshman but missed her sophomore season due to injury.
– Anna Brandt was the Ivy League Midfielder of the Year in 2023 and earned third-team All-America honors from the IWLCA and Inside Lacrosse last season.
A two-time first-team All-Ivy selection, Brandt has 138 career goals and needs 11 more to become Penn’s all-time leading goal scorer.
– Natasha Gorriaran started all 20 games last season, playing a key role in Penn’s defense with 24 caused turnovers, 29 ground balls, and four points. She earned honorable mention All-Ivy recognition in 2023.
– Grace Lillis missed her freshman season due to injury but has played in six games over the past two seasons. She contributed a ground ball in Penn’s win over William & Mary last year and was part of the team’s Ivy League victories over Columbia and Harvard.
– Gracie Smith played in all 20 games last season, making four starts. She scored 11 goals, added one assist, and contributed nine caused turnovers and 13 ground balls, including scoring twice in Penn’s win over No. 1-ranked Maryland.
Last season, Penn finished 15-5 and advanced to the NCAA Championship quarterfinals after reaching the Ivy League Tournament final.
