“Cowboys Face Offensive Struggles as Dalvin Cook Set to Miss Thursday Night Game Against Giants”
The Dallas Cowboys have had a rough two weeks. After defeating the Cleveland Browns in Week 1, they have now lost two consecutive games, both at home.
In the NFL, teams must quickly refocus on their next challenge, and for the Cowboys, that means preparing for a Thursday Night Football matchup on the road against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium as they seek to regain momentum.
One concern for Dallas is their struggling rushing offense, and owner Jerry Jones shared some disappointing news about Dalvin Cook.
During an interview on @1053thefan, Jones said he doesn’t expect RB Dalvin Cook to play Thursday night against the Giants.

Cowboys News: Dalvin Cook Won’t Play on Thursday Night Jones mentioned that Cook likely won’t be available for the game against the Giants during his appearance on 105.3 The Fan.
As a result, Dallas will rely on Ezekiel Elliott, Rico Dowdle, and Deuce Vaughn to carry the load in the backfield. However, this group has struggled so far, ranking 30th in the NFL in rushing offense, averaging just 73.7 yards per game.
This lack of a strong run game has led to an unbalanced offense, putting additional pressure on quarterback Dak Prescott.
Dallas signed Cook to their practice squad in late August, with expectations that he might eventually be promoted to the active roster. But so far, that hasn’t happened, leading to questions about when, if ever, he will get his opportunity.
Given the team’s struggles on the ground, now might seem like an ideal time to test if Cook has anything left to offer.
Last season, Cook failed to make an impact with the New York Jets and Baltimore Ravens, recording just 67 carries for 214 yards and no touchdowns. His situation hasn’t improved since, and it doesn’t appear to be turning around anytime soon.
