“Thierry Henry Criticized for Snubbing Christian Pulisic During Post-Match Interview”
Thierry Henry is facing backlash from football fans after seemingly ignoring former Chelsea player Christian Pulisic during a post-match interview on Tuesday night.
Following AC Milan’s 3-1 defeat to Liverpool in their opening Champions League match, Pulisic was being interviewed by Kate Abdo on CBS when the strange interaction took place.
Pulisic, who had scored the opening goal at the San Siro, saw his team fall to defeat after Arne Slot’s side scored three goals to secure a dominant win in one of Europe’s most famous stadiums.
Arsenal and France legend Henry, a regular pundit on the broadcaster’s panel, is known for his engaging and charismatic personality when speaking to players. However, he didn’t seem interested when Pulisic was involved.
During the interview, Abdo asked Henry if he had a follow-up question for Pulisic regarding Milan’s performance, but Henry quickly declined, saying “no” without even looking at the 26-year-old. Instead, he kept his eyes down, focusing on the table in front of him, alongside Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards.
There was a brief, uncomfortable pause before Richards gave a nervous laugh and Abdo smoothly continued by asking Pulisic how he planned to unwind after the defeat.
Pulisic appeared briefly confused but regained his composure and responded that he would be going home to relax.
Fans who noticed the awkward moment were unimpressed with Henry’s behavior and questioned his refusal to engage with Pulisic when given the opportunity.
One viewer commented on X, “Henry needs to act like a grown man and set his ego aside.”
Another added, “There seems to be a real issue here. Henry has been aiming for the USA job for years, but he’s not qualified.”
