BREAKING NEWS: Tyreek Hill of the Dolphins challenges Noah Lyles to a race. Lyles responds.
Tyreek Hill and Noah Lyles are still discussing racing each other. Following his victory in the 100-meter sprint at the 2024 Summer Olympics and his subsequent title as the “Fastest Man in the World,” Lyles spoke with ESPN’s Stan Verrett about his challenge to race the Miami Dolphins receiver. After giving Hill support on his recent run-in with the law in Miami, Lyles immediately launched into a disparaging discussion about their running prowess.
He made it clear that their speed was the reason behind the trash language, not anything that included the cops. According to Lyles, the two situations are not the same. One is about what it means to be human, while the other is about sports. Indeed, under any conditions, no one should have to endure what he did. Because we are all human, we ought to be treated as such.
He immediately began talking about their varying speeds after that. “But when it comes to running a race, you really have to be serious,” he remarked. Everyone aspires to ascend to the top and compete to be the “fastest man.” Because this title is simple, I didn’t choose it. or because I chose the simple path.” Verrett questioned whether Lyles was implying that it would be similar to the computer game Punch-Out! by Mike Tyson, in which Hill had to advance through the stages before taking on the opponent. That might be the best course of action, the gold medallist seems to agree.
In closing remarks, Lyles did say that a race would take place at 60 meters and that the two teams are “in talks.”
A lot of people would be excited to witness the race. Hill raced track at Oklahoma State and is regarded as one of the fastest players in the NFL. In the 25 to 29 age group, he also took first place in a 60-meter race at the 2023 USATF Masters Indoor Championships.
