“VAR Overturned: AC Milan Cook Venezia in an Unforgettable and Critical Moments…Read more”

“Milan Thrash Venezia 4-0 with Early Blitz to Relieve Pressure on Fonseca”

Milan eased the pressure on Paulo Fonseca with a dominant 4-0 victory over Venezia on Saturday, thanks to four goals in the first 30 minutes. After a shaky start to their Serie A campaign with two draws and a loss, Milan delivered an impressive performance to claim their first win of the season.

Theo Hernandez opened the scoring just 88 seconds into the match with a deflected shot off Venezia goalkeeper Jesse Joronen. Milan quickly doubled their advantage 14 minutes later when Youssouf Fofana capitalized on a low corner to score.

Two penalties followed in quick succession—Christian Pulisic converted in the 25th minute, and Tammy Abraham added another four minutes later, effectively sealing the win for Milan.

Venezia thought they had pulled one back, but a VAR review overturned the goal due to Hans Nicolussi Caviglia’s foul on Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Caviglia, who had already been booked, was sent off, capping a frustrating day for the visitors.

While Milan fans were initially critical of Fonseca’s start, this emphatic performance at San Siro should alleviate some of that pressure. The last time Milan scored four goals in the first half-hour of a Serie A match was in October 1958 against Alessandria. Abraham, meanwhile, seems to be adapting well, contributing to a goal in consecutive Serie A games for the first time since January 2023, when he was playing for Roma.
