“Wilfred Ndidi Registers First Premier League Brace of Assists in Leicester City’s 2-2 Draw with Crystal Palace”
Wilfred Ndidi registered his first-ever two assists in an English Premier League match during Leicester City’s 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon.
Ndidi’s first assist came in the 21st minute when he found Jamie Vardy, who was left in plenty of space, and the striker calmly slotted the ball home.
Just a minute into the second half, the Super Eagles midfielder provided another assist, setting up Stephy Mavididi, who fired the ball into the bottom left corner.
Crystal Palace’s French forward, Jean-Philippe Mateta, cut the deficit by smashing Tyrick Mitchell’s pass into the net. Although the goal underwent a VAR review, it was upheld, keeping the game alive.
Mateta later completed Palace’s comeback in the second minute of stoppage time, scoring from the penalty spot past Mads Hermansen.
Ndidi ended the match with two assists and a yellow card, received for a heavy challenge from referee Tony Harrington.
The 27-year-old has now achieved two assists in a Premier League game for the first time, bringing his total goal contributions to 19 in the competition.
He remains ever-present for Leicester City this season, playing every minute and reasserting himself as a crucial player for the Foxes.
