“Russell Wilson’s Post-Game Mood Raises Questions Amid Steelers’ Quarterback Situation”

The Pittsburgh Steelers may now have a quarterback controversy involving Russell Wilson and Justin Fields. This isn’t necessarily due to Fields’ performance against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 1, when Wilson was sidelined, but rather because of Wilson’s reaction to the Steelers’ victory.

Steelers insider Mark Kaboly mentioned on The Pat McAfee Show on September 9 that Wilson didn’t seem particularly joyful after the Steelers’ 18-10 win over the Falcons.

“In the locker room, he didn’t look like his usual cheerful self,” Kaboly observed.

When asked if Wilson’s demeanor could have been due to wanting to let Fields enjoy his moment, Kaboly replied, “I just think he wasn’t happy he didn’t play.”

Wilson was ruled out due to a calf injury he sustained on July 26 during a conditioning test at the start of training camp. Although he later returned to practice and even played in the Steelers’ preseason finale, head coach Mike Tomlin named him the starter on August 28. However, Wilson was limited in practice from September 5 due to his calf, and the team officially ruled him out for Week 1 just hours before kickoff."Breaking News:The Pittsburgh Steelers Are Involved in a Quarterback(QB) Controversy For Justin Field and... Was Wilson “Pouting” After the Steelers’ Week 1 Victory? The panel on The Pat McAfee Show jokingly suggested that Wilson was “pouting” after the win, but they were lightheartedly repeating the term. Kaboly didn’t directly claim that Wilson was pouting, but he did point out that Wilson’s energy level seemed different from his usual positive self.

“Given how upbeat Russell Wilson usually is about everything, this change in demeanor could be seen as ‘pouting,'” Kaboly added.
