“Rangers’ Old Firm Woes Deepen with Heavy Defeat as Transfer Concerns Loom”

Glasgow Rangers’ struggles in recent Old Firm matches continued with a disappointing 3-0 loss to their biggest rivals over the weekend.

This defeat leaves the Ibrox club five points behind the league leaders in the Premiership after only four games. It wasn’t just the loss itself that was concerning, but Rangers seemed hesitant to make an impact, despite starting the game well.

For Philippe Clement, the timing of the international break couldn’t have been better. Although the players underperformed on the pitch, the Belgian manager must also take some blame for the results, as this was Rangers’ fourth loss in five Old Firm encounters under his leadership.

It’s evident that the summer transfer window wasn’t as successful as it needed to be. While the manager managed to offload high earners like John Lundstram, Sam Lammers, and Connor Goldson, the new signings still need to prove they are up to the required level.

However, on deadline day, the Light Blues did make two new signings, with defender Neraysho Kasanwirjo and attacking midfielder Nedim Bajrami joining the team just before the window closed.
