“76ers Eye Underrated Grizzlies Star: Could This Trade Complete Their Championship Puzzle?”

The 23-year-old forward from the Memphis Grizzlies could be a potential trade option for the Philadelphia 76ers.

The 76ers have had an impressive offseason, with the signing of Paul George being the standout move. However, they’ve made other additions as well, positioning them as serious Championship contenders.

The one area where the 76ers still appear somewhat lacking is at power forward. Caleb Martin is expected to be the starter in that spot next season.

Now, Martin is a reliable player and has one of the most team-friendly contracts in the NBA. We’ve seen him perform well in Miami, both during the regular season and, more importantly, against top teams in the playoffs. That said, he might be a bit undersized as a power forward.

To address this, the 76ers have signed Guerschon Yabusele, who had a remarkable Olympic run. While his first NBA stint was unremarkable, he seems to have made significant improvements since then.

Still, there’s a chance that the 76ers might look to further bolster their power forward options in the future. If they do, a 23-year-old Memphis Grizzlies player could be on their radar as a potential trade target."JUST IN: Philadelphia 76ers Target NBA Starlet Due to His Thrilling Forward Impacts Dominated...Read more"

Greg Swartz of Bleacher Report discussed this in his article, “Imagining Every NBA Team’s Top 3 Trade Targets.” He noted: “The Sixers don’t have many weaknesses, though the power forward position is a bit thin with 6’5” Caleb Martin projected to start.

“Aldama is one of the NBA’s most underrated players, a 23-year-old, 6’11” forward who averaged 11.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.7 stocks in his 35 starts for the Grizzlies last season. He can stretch the floor and provides better size for the position compared to Martin, who could then play more as a three off the bench.”

Over his three seasons with the Grizzlies, Aldama has grown into a dependable NBA player, starting 35 games last season and averaging 26.5 minutes per game.

If a trade does eventually happen, someone like Aldama could be a valuable addition to the 76ers’ roster.
