Neill Blake left his position with AFC Bournemouth.
The move formally ends Neill Blake’s direct involvement with AFC Bournemouth, which began when Blake joined the team following the club’s takeover from former Dorchester Town owner and Blake’s father-in-law, Eddie Mitchell, in 2009. Blake will depart the Cherries at the end of the month to take a new role with Black Knight Football Club (“BKFC”).
At first, Blake served as Director of Operations, although he was also employed by Mitchell’s personal business, Seven Developments, until early in2010, when he was hired by AFC Bournemouth as Chief Executive.
AFC Bournemouth has seen two takeovers during that time, with Maxim Demin and Bill Foley now holding the majority ownership positions. The football team has successfully advanced from League Two in 2010, promoted from League One in 2013, won the Football League Championship, and was promoted to the Premier League in 2015.
In 2022, the Cherries automatically qualified for promotion in 2022 after being relegated from the English football premier league in 2020.
