SHAMBOLIC: Gary O’Neil apologizes to Wolves supporters following Chelsea’s victory.
Gary O’Neil has apologized to Wolves supporters after Wolves’ crushing 6-2 loss to Chelsea. After a strong first half, Wolves gave up six goals at home in the league for the first time since losing 6-0 to Southampton in 2007. While Wolves had the slight advantage going into halftime, they let in four more goals in the second half as a result of a string of disastrous errors.
Frustrated by the magnitude of the mistakes, O’Neil expressed his regret to the audience for the show. It’s difficult for them because, according to O’Neil, they were likely enjoying their squad’s performance as they went head-to-head with a team that had invested billions of dollars, and then felt that there was a significant gap between the two groups.
“I apologize for my part in making the fans’ afternoon difficult; I don’t want them to have to endure games like that. “I knew these first two weeks wouldn’t be easy, but we’ve played Arsenal and Chelsea and lost our captain and one of our best players.”It demonstrates how challenging it can be to fall short of the standard we attempt to achieve.
“I concentrate on my own role in it and make sure that everyone involved understands how I feel and how it came to be in the first place. “We have until Wednesday to correct the issue in the cup, and we have until Saturday to correct the issue in the Premier League.” At full time, O’Neil went to the South Bank to accept responsibility and offer his apologies for the loss. The supporters of the head coach were heard chanting in return after a “crazy” afternoon at Molineux.
O’Neil continued, “I wanted to thank them for their support on a tough afternoon for us, but I’m disappointed.” It was a chaotic game in which we punished Chelsea severely for giving Chelsea so many favorable circumstances from insane incidents that were completely preventable. It was beyond our ability to bounce back from our first-half position of 2-2 to 5-2 during that stretch. It’s important for everyone to examine and comprehend the various aspects involved, as well as the fact that their actions were inappropriate.
“We start out behind 1-0, but by halftime we’re ahead thanks to an absurd goal kick from them. We had to fight back, and eventually we tie the score at 2-2. Overall, it was a respectable performance despite a few crazy moments and errors. After the break, you emerge and allow them to pass a free kick right to our left side for a two-on-one, despite the fact that we had plenty of time to get in shape. We don’t have a left-back in place for the fourth or fifth, so the entire pitch is available. “Leaving where we were to that was absurd. Not anything I’ve ever seen on the training course
They are aware of my feelings, and I always include myself in my remarks about the players. Despite the fact that we lost 6-2 at home against a strong team, we must accept responsibility for the outcome. They were really adept at punishing us in a clinical way because we made certain mistakes. There is a lot that has to be cleaned up, and we will, but it will be a difficult afternoon that you must accept and grow from. “There will be benefits, but I have a good feeling that Wolves supporters would prefer that I avoid discussing them at this time.
We just suffered a 6-2 home loss in the Premier League, so I’ll leave the positives in my office and choose to concentrate on the hard reality that in no way is that good enough. “We must ensure that we advance.”
