“Roma Sign Saudi International Saud Abdulhamid in Historic Transfer Deal”
Roma have finalized a deal with Al-Hilal from the Saudi Pro League for the permanent transfer of right-back Saud Abdulhamid, according to reports on Sunday.
Roma secure Abdulhamid signing
The Saudi Arabian international will join the Giallorossi in a permanent move valued at a guaranteed €2.5 million, with possible add-ons increasing the total to €3 million, per Fabrizio Romano’s updates.
Abdulhamid is expected to arrive for a medical on Monday.
If the transfer is completed, he will be the first Saudi player to compete professionally in Serie A.
The 25-year-old, who has earned 26 caps for Saudi Arabia, played a key role in his country’s memorable 2-1 victory over Argentina at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Meanwhile, Al-Hilal are reportedly eyeing Manchester City’s Joao Cancelo, who has fallen out of favor, as a replacement for Abdulhamid.
