“AC Milan’s Transfer Frenzy: Bennacer Exit Looms as Final Week Brings Potential Surprises”

In an interview on Sky Sport 24 (via Radio Rossonera), Di Stefano discussed what the final week of the transfer market might hold for AC Milan, suggesting it could be quite eventful.

With four key players already signed, Milan has made significant progress in strengthening their squad. However, they still need to focus on outgoing transfers, with Ismael Bennacer being a strong candidate to leave.

Milan is eyeing Manu Kone to bolster their midfield, but with Bennacer, Yacine Adli, and Tommaso Pobega deemed surplus to requirements, space must be cleared.

Di Stefano stated, “If there’s a significant sale, Bennacer seems the most likely, as Milan wouldn’t sell their top players. Should an attractive offer come in for both the player and the club, Bennacer could be sold. With a week remaining in the market, Milan has already achieved their primary targets: central defender, right-back, central midfielder, and striker.”

He also mentioned that Fode Ballo-Toure, like Adli, could be offloaded as the week progresses.

This could pave the way for a new striker, though it’s expected Milan will primarily focus on adding another midfielder. Di Stefano noted, “Milan is in a favorable position: they need to offload a few redundant players like Adli and Ballo-Toure. Otherwise, they have the freedom to address minor gaps compared to other teams or take advantage of opportunities. For example, they could potentially bring in a forward to further strengthen the attack. While not a necessity, it’s an opportunity, and I believe something could happen in the next seven days. So, keep an eye on Milan.”
