Report: Newcastle is now having internal discussions about a “unbelievable” Chelsea player.
Eddie Howe obviously has one position in mind for Newcastle United in the upcoming days, therefore the team will be busy towards the end of the transfer window. In recent days, the Magpies have been connected to several players. Newcastle is reportedly in talks to sign Edmond Tapsoba from Bayer Leverkusen, while the Toon are having difficulty reaching a deal with Crystal Palace for Marc Guehi.
With Newcastle vying for Ferran Torres as well, it’s certain that the Northeast Premier League team wants to close the transfer market on a high note. Howe is likely thinking about European qualifying when the new season gets underway. Additionally, it appears that Newcastle is currently pursuing a Chelsea player before the trade closes.
Trevoh Chalobah, a defender for Chelsea, is being discussed by Newcastle. Trevoh Chalobah is expected to depart Chelsea before the end of the transfer window, and iNews reports that the defender is being discussed internally about joining Newcastle this summer. Chalobah, a 24-year-old centre back for Chelsea, has been linked to Newcastle in recent days. It is anticipated that he will be leaving Stamford Bridge soon along with several other first-team Chelsea players.
Rio Ferdinand called Chalobah “unbelievable,” and if a deal for Guehi or Tapsoba doesn’t work out, the Blues defender would be a great addition for Newcastle. He’s also probably the least expensive of the three.
Furthermore, because Chalobah no longer wears the Chelsea uniform, Newcastle may find it simple to finalise a deal to sign the defender at St. James’ Park, as the west London team is eager to move on from the Cobham academy graduate.
Chalobah needs to be brought to St. James’ Park by magpies everywhere. Considering how brilliantly Chalobah has performed for his childhood club over the last two seasons—showing up every time—Chalobah has been subjected to appalling treatment by Chelsea. With Chalobah, though, Newcastle may gain an advantage over Chelsea if they can work out a deal with Enzo Maresca’s team for the 24-year-old English defender.
Because of their desperate need for a central defender, Newcastle should visit Chelsea, where Chalobah has the potential to be a dream addition and help Howe’s team once more qualify for Europe.
