“Forest Eye Arsenal Star Nketiah in High-Stakes Transfer Battle After Marseille Heartbreak”

Nottingham Forest are looking to bring in a new striker before the transfer window shuts, with Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah emerging as their top target, according to TEAMtalk.

Sources have told transfer correspondent Fraser Gillan that Forest’s search for a new centre-forward has been a “challenging process.”

After an unsuccessful bid for Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez, Forest has shifted their focus to Nketiah and are eager to secure his signing.

At 25, Nketiah is currently earning £120,000 per week at Arsenal, and although he’s reluctant to leave that behind, TEAMtalk reveals that Forest is prepared to offer him a lucrative deal to make him their highest-paid player.

Whether that will be enough to lure the England international remains uncertain, as TEAMtalk sources report that Nketiah was “disappointed” when a move to Marseille fell through earlier this month.

Despite Nketiah agreeing to the transfer, Marseille couldn’t meet Arsenal’s asking price. He had been excited about joining their new signings and working with manager Roberto De Zerbi.
