UNBELIEVABLE: Simone Biles explains her decision to stop going to her husband’s games.

Simone Biles explains her decision to stop going to her husband’s games.

Following another incredible Olympics, Simone Biles is a highly sought-after woman. The gymnast is so high demand that she might not be able to support her NFL husband this season.

In the French capital this summer, the 27-year-old, the Olympic all-around champion from the Paris Games, added three more gold and a silver to her spectacular medal collection. But medals come with responsibilities, and Biles disclosed that while she enjoys the gilded glow of her successes, she will have to make some compromises.

After marrying Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens in 2023, Biles informed her devoted followers that she would not be able to attend as many of her husband’s NFL games this season. In a TikTok video, the gymnastic icon said that her post-Olympic duties will keep her too busy to support her beau at Soldier Field and on the road this year. The 2024 season begins in just over two weeks.

We’re heading on tour in a few weeks—it’s the Gold Over America tour, in case you missed it—so I’m not sure how many games I’ll be able to make. According to Biles, we’re currently doing roughly 32 stops. On September 16 in Oceanside, California, the tour—a travelling gymnastics exhibition—will begin. A number of gymnastics celebrities, including Biles and her gold-medal-winning USA colleagues, Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, and Hezly Rivera, will appear. In Week 9 of the NFL schedule, which falls in the middle of the regular season, on November 3, it will make 30 stops across the United States before coming to an end in Detroit.

After her victory in Paris, Biles got to cheer on her husband from the stands at the Bercy Arena on Saturday afternoon. Biles went to the Bears’ preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals at Soldier Field, but the Olympian made a fashion and football faux pas by showing her support for Owens by donning a custom jacket with black-and-white printed images of him on it. Biles might also be able to watch the Bears’ season opener against the Tennessee Titans on September 8 as well as the second half.
