“Newcastle United Eye £30m Chelsea Star Noni Madueke as Right-Winger Solution Ahead of Deadline Day”
Newcastle United might secure the signing of Chelsea winger Noni Madueke with a £30 million bid, according to sources from Football Insider. In the latest episode of the Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke mentioned that Newcastle continues to keep an eye on the 22-year-old.
Money isn’t a concern for Newcastle regarding this potential deal, but they are mindful of PSR regulations to avoid possible points deductions. Instead of spending £30 million outright, the club might explore a loan deal, as Chelsea is eager to offload players before the transfer deadline.
Newcastle could include an obligation to buy in a loan agreement, as a right-winger is a priority for the club. Michael Olise was initially their top target, but they were unable to outbid Bayern Munich.
Eddie Howe hopes funds will be allocated for a right-winger before the August 31st deadline, as he has been requesting reinforcements all summer. With Chelsea’s recent signing of Pedro Neto, Madueke’s playing time could be reduced under coach Enzo Maresca next season.
However, Newcastle has ruled out pursuing Adrien Rabiot, who is available on a free transfer following the expiration of his Juventus contract.
