Milan Thinks of a Dramatic Late Grab for Juventus Castaway.
Federico Chiesa’s future has been among the most talked topics this summer, with Milan now studying the potential of signing the Juventus outcast. Thiago Motta has shelved the Italy international from the team in a last-ditch attempt to push his release toward the end of the transfer window.
Chiesa hasn’t been discussed by Milan and Juventus, according to Sky Sport Italia via MilanNews. But Paulo Fonseca’s team is closely monitoring the winger’s circumstances in Turin. Motta has prohibited the 26-year-old from training with the first squad after earlier ruling him out of his project for the forthcoming season. Therefore, Chiesa remains stuck between a rock and a hard place. Although his Juventus contract expires in the summer of 2020, the Allianz Arena no longer has a great need for his services.
Stadium. Foreign suitors have seemingly pulled away, leaving Milan as the only plausible possibility for the former Fiorentina forward, alongside Roma. After Matias Soule was acquired, Daniele De Rossi’s charges withdrew from the race. However, Roma may pique their interest again now that Paulo Dybala is expected to relocate overseas. Even though Milan signed Alvaro Morata away from Atletico Madrid, they are still actively searching for a new striker.
Although Chiesa is not a natural striker, he performed well in this capacity last season under Massimiliano Allegri. That could drive Milan to pursue a deal for the Italian star late in the summer, knowing they could attract him to the Stadio San Siro on reasonable terms.
