“Roma Eyeing Boga: Will Nice Resist a €20 Million Offer for Their Star Player?”
Foot Mercato reports that AS Roma has yet to reach an agreement with Jérémie Boga (27) or approach OGC Nice regarding the Ivorian international, contrary to claims in the Italian media. The French source indicates that Roma is instead preparing an initial offer for Boga.
Boga joined Nice last summer from Atalanta BC and quickly established himself as a key player, helping the club secure a Europa League spot with a fifth-place finish. During his sole season under manager Francesco Farioli, the Marseille-born forward scored and assisted six times.
Nice had planned to depend on Boga early in the season, especially after Terem Moffi (25) suffered a serious ACL injury that is expected to keep him out for most of the new campaign. However, Roma is set to challenge this, though Foot Mercato notes that Nice is unlikely to consider any offers below €20 million.
