“Hoffenheim Look to Hijack Leicester’s €20m Deal for Bayer Leverkusen Star”
Steve Cooper is working to strengthen his team’s attacking options as the Foxes aim to stay in the Premier League next season.
Bayer Leverkusen striker Adam Hlozek is a player the Foxes are interested in, and they’ve already reached an agreement with the German champions.
The Foxes have initially arranged to bring the attacker on loan, with a €20 million purchase obligation included in the deal.
However, Bundesliga side Hoffenheim is attempting to intercept Hlozek’s transfer to the Foxes. They recently lost their star forward Maximilian Beirer to Borussia Dortmund and are now looking to reinvest the funds.
Despite playing a limited role under Xabi Alonso last season, the Czech forward still managed to contribute to 12 goals across all competitions.
It remains to be seen if Hoffenheim will offer Bayer Leverkusen a more attractive deal than Leicester City to secure Hlozek’s transfer.
