“Arsenal Star Eddie Nketiah Poised for Big-Money Move as Bournemouth Lead Transfer Race”
The 25-year-old has been the subject of transfer speculation for months, with numerous clubs reportedly interested in signing him. Despite increasing rumors about his future, he has been involved in Arsenal’s pre-season activities.
According to TEAMtalk, Bournemouth is preparing to make an offer to end his long-standing relationship with Arsenal. They are reportedly ready to offer £25 million, although Arsenal is said to want at least £30 million.
He is under contract at the Emirates Stadium until 2027 but is reportedly eager for more regular playing time. Last season, he started only 10 league games and did not feature in any of Arsenal’s final six Premier League matches.
Wolverhampton Wanderers and Fulham have also been linked with Nketiah, who earned his first senior England cap last year. Recently, there have been reports of interest from Everton and Leicester as well.
Bournemouth’s transfer budget has been boosted by Tottenham Hotspur’s purchase of Dominic Solanke, but Solanke’s departure has also left a gap in their attacking lineup. Nketiah could be an ideal replacement and might flourish under head coach Andoni Iraola if given regular playing time.
The forward has spent his entire senior career with Arsenal, except for a loan spell at Leeds in 2019. He showed potential at Elland Road but couldn’t replace Patrick Bamford as Marcelo Bielsa’s top striker. His time at Leeds ended in January 2020 when Arsenal recalled him, after he scored five goals in 19 appearances for the Whites.
