New quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers takes up an unexpected new role.

The fourth quarterback, John Rhys Plumlee, has not shied away from trying new things with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Plumlee has experience on all special teams positions, including coverage teams and kick returners. Plumlee even had a tackle in the team’s debut against the Houston Texans.

However, Plumlee added a fresh dimension to his workout on Sunday by lining up at wide receiver. He had played there for a short time in college before switching back to quarterback, and he joined with the Steelers mostly because they would give him another opportunity at quarterback. The Steelers are experimenting with what he might be, though.
