“Ex-Celtic Wonderkid Karamoko Dembele Nears £2.2M QPR Transfer After Blackpool Revival”

Former Celtic star Karamoko Dembele is nearing a transfer to Championship club QPR.

Dembele made history at Celtic by becoming their youngest-ever player in a European competition in December 2019, coming off the bench at just 16 years old during a loss to CFR Cluj.

He had previously made waves by debuting for Celtic’s Under-20s at the age of just 13, sparking hopes of a future as a football superstar. However, he never quite reached those heights, leaving Scotland for Brest in 2022.

Despite making only 18 appearances for the French club, Dembele spent last season on loan at Blackpool in League One, where he became a key player, scoring nine goals in 47 appearances across all competitions.

His loan spell appears to have convinced QPR to pursue him, with the London club reportedly agreeing on a £2.2 million deal to bring him from Brest, outbidding several other Championship teams.

This move concludes a long-standing interest from QPR, who were keen on Dembele even when he first joined Brest. It also means QPR have secured a player once hailed as a potential game-changer in football."REVEALED:"Former Celtic Prodigy Set for £2.2M Move to QPR After Unfulfilled Promise...Read more"

This high praise came shortly before his historic appearance against Cluj, when French newspaper L’Equipe included the now 21-year-old in a list of six players they believed would become superstars.

Dembele was highly regarded by French pundits, who described him as “vivid and agile,” but noted that questions remained, particularly regarding his final decision on the international stage.

Earlier this summer, Brest’s sporting director, Gregory Lorenzi, confirmed that Dembele was free to leave the club, as Brest looked to raise funds through permanent transfers.
